Arsene Wenger has been left scurrying around the January transfer market following the injury to Theo Walcott, who's season ended prematurely last week after damaging his anterior cruciate ligament.
The Arsenal manager has recently admitted that he is looking to make an addition this month, but also said that a quiet buyers market comes as an unwelcome distraction to their title challenge.
With Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata seemingly unavailable even on a temporary basis, Wenger has reportedly turned to Juventus' Giovinco with a possible loan deal being mooted.
The 26-year-old, who can play anywhere across the forward line, has won the hearts and minds of many Juventus fans but has fallen off Antonio Conte's radar following the summer additions of Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez.
Giovinco has made just two starts in Serie A this season, increasing the chance of Arsenal landing the player on a short-term loan deal.
The Atomic Ant, as Giovinco is affectionately known, would undoubtedly jump at the chance for regular first team football in a bid to make Italy's World Cup squad this summer.
However, it is not known whether Juventus are ready to entertain the idea of letting the 5'5'' star leave Turin on a temporary or a permanent basis.
